Head of Student Systems and Records

We are seeking an experienced manager to lead the Student Systems and Records section of Registry. This role is critical to delivering improvements following major - and continuing - investment in our student records systems to meet the changing needs of students, staff and external agencies. You will need strong technical skills informed by a robust understanding of the internal and external regulatory frameworks within which universities operate.
You will have substantial knowledge and experience of managing student systems and a detailed understanding of the student journey gained from experience within higher education or a closely related sector. You will have strong leadership and management skills, with a successful track record in leading development and change and the confidence and ability to influence and negotiate, working co-operatively with colleagues from within and beyond the University.
Reporting to the Registrar and working particularly closely with the Head of Academic Quality and Standards, the successful candidate will be an experienced registry professional with in-depth understanding and experience of student records services and student data systems.
Educated to degree level and with significant experience of managing a team, you will: be able to demonstrate a track record of leading and delivering an outstanding student records service for external and internal service users; and will be have the necessary understanding of the highly competitive nature of UK Higher Education.
In addition you will:

- be an excellent communicator; a committed team player; and a skilled negotiator; and
- have significant experience of managing a diverse range of partner and client relationships.
