Salary: £17399 to £20624 per annum pro-rata depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.
Reporting directly to the Director of Financial Operations the role is to ensure that all the financial controls in the department are operating effectively and efficiently. Responsible for reconciling accounts on a timely basis and working with service managers to ensure that appropriate accounting entries are made. It is also responsible for pay recharges to third party organisations.
If you have a good knowledge of double entry accounting along with the ability to work with people at various levels in the University and an investigative enquiring mind this may be the role for you.
To join the team you must have a positive dynamic outlook with a willingness to learn and good attention to detail. Full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
A high level of organisational ability is desirable along with excellent Excel and Word skills are required to deliver the department’s focus on excellent customer service. If you are self-motivated, possess strong communication, interpersonal and time management skills, an excellent team player, although able to work just as effectively alone, organised with impeccable attention to detail, and committed to getting the job done to the highest possible standard this role will appeal to you.
