Survey Assistant

Salary: Grade 4, £18,412 - £21,220 per annum pro rata.

You will join a pool of research data collectors (Survey Nurses, Survey Team Leaders and Survey Assistants) to undertake health related surveys in the community in a range of settings which may include individual’s homes and organisations like schools, prisons and sports stadia. This survey work will be undertaken on behalf of researchers based at MRC/CSO Social and Public Health Sciences Unit, University of Glasgow and their collaborators. You will collect data in a confidential manner, according to research governance guidance and will follow instructions and standard operating procedures for the research project(s).

This position is open ended and funded to January 2018. The post is part time (variable) at a minimum of 36 hours per annum.

This post is considered ‘registered work’ in terms of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Act. It requires the successful applicant to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to appointment. This check is necessary to ensure that the University of Glasgow fulfils its legal duties under the Act.
