Clinical Trial Project Officers
STAREE (http://www.staree.org.au/) is a double-blind, randomised primary prevention trial investigating whether daily active treatment of Atorvastatin versus placebo will enhance disability free survival (death, dementia and disability) and prevent major cardiovascular outcomes in healthy participants aged 70 years and over. The trial is primarily funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia.
Monash University is seeking Expressions of Interest for full-time and part-time Clinical Trial Project Officers to join the 'STAtins in Reducing Events in the Elderly' (STAREE) clinical trial. A number of positions are available and will be located in either Melbourne, Bendigo, Gippsland or Mildura (Victoria), Burnie or Hobart (Tasmania) or Newcastle (NSW).
The main responsibility of the Project Officers will be directly supporting the STAREE principal investigators and project manager in all aspects of conduct and implementation of a clinical trial. The Project Officers will also liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including physicians and nursing staff at general practices and/or hospitals and trial participants.
