The Opportunity

If you're passionate about valuable data analysis to support strategic decision making, then this could be the role for you.

The Strategic Information Analyst will play a vital role within the University Planning and Statistics team, delivering meaningful, actionable and intelligent data analysis. With senior stakeholders relying on your findings to provide insights and direct their decision making, your analysis will be invaluable in setting the future direction of the University.

You will be an expert in your field, be able to obtain an in-depth understanding of the business, its key drivers, and strategic aims and demonstrate how you can contribute to these. You will question the status quo and generate continuous improvements to refine your work and the work of your team.

As an expert in providing intelligence for business, you will share your specialist knowledge across the University and monitor emerging data and information needs.  You will have the opportunity to provide a competitive advantage to the University by supporting a variety of projects and processes. Your ability to innovate in analytical processes, data visualisations and reporting will be key, as will your management of dirty data within the complexities of the University's data pool.  

Collaborating with a range of stakeholders, you will have fantastic written and oral communication skills to effectively translate the findings of your analysis into meaningful reports and presentations,  that are easily understood by their target audience. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential to the role.
