About the job and skills/experience
We are looking for an experienced, creative, organiser and producer with a strong sense of news and storytelling as it is applied across print and digital media platforms.
Reporting to the Senior Manager News and Communications, you will have the right skills and experience to get the most out of a small team of dedicated writers, filmmakers, digital creators and freelancers to build strong and consistent news and PR messages.
You will have managerial, planning and creative responsibility for key external and internal print and online publications, oversee video news production, social media engagement and work with the Senior Manager News and Communications to build the impact of this content for a range of audiences.
You will also relish the opportunity to contribute to content development through writing and creative direction.
As part of the wider Communications and Marketing Unit, you will have the opportunity to contribute ideas and skills to the wide range of marketing campaigns and communications that promote the teaching, learning and research at UniSA.
Aware of the rapid evolution of communications and the opportunities to innovate in this area, you will also have a solid background in traditional communications careers and an appreciation of the core elements of effective news and magazine writing.
A good understanding and appreciation of the role of higher education in delivering innovation and education to the wider community would be a distinct advantage.
