About the role
- 70K - 93K plus annual leave loading and 17% Superannuation
- Fixed Term 2 years
- Full time 35 hours/week
The position requires the development of a vanadium oxygen fuel cell (VOFC). The focus areas include hydraulic investigations to minimise electrolyte leakage into the gas diffusion side of the cell and optimisation of the membrane electrode assembly. In addition, the Research Associate will have an understanding of the catalysts involved in facilitating electrochemical reduction reactions. The position requires advanced mathematical modelling skills and past experience regarding the development of fundamental mathematical models is desirable. The aim of the project for which the position relates is to design a fully functional VOFC prototype.
