The Office of Prospective Students & Student Equity (OPSSE) has an important mandate for attracting academically-capable students from throughout Queensland and Australia. The Office is responsible for domestic student recruitment, engagement with secondary schools, and a range of Outreach programs aimed at increasing the tertiary study and career aspirations of students from low socio-economic backgrounds.

The primary purpose of the School Liaison Officer is to organise, participate in, and evaluate the University's face-to-face student engagement and recruitment activities including in-school presentations, on-campus experiences, and metropolitan and regional careers markets. The role will require regular travel to participate in career markets, regional events and parent information evenings.
The successful applicant should possess a Bachelor degree in business, marketing, education, humanities, administration or other related disciplines with a minimum of two years relevant working experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training. Excellent interpersonal, relationship management, and presentation skills are important. Eligibility for Queensland Government Blue Card and a current open driver's license are also essential.
This is a full-time, fixed term appointment for 12 months at HEW Level 5. Remuneration package will be in the range of $62,716.31 - $70,241.69 p.a. plus employer superannuation contributions of 9.5% (total package will be in the range of $68,674 - $76,914 p.a.).
