Responsible for building effective, successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders including: corporations, executives, BU administrators, faculty, and staff that lead to increased corporate engagement in Boston University and increased research and philanthropic investment in University strategic priorities. Serve as a central member of the Boston University Development and Alumni Relations Corporate Relations Office. Work closely with the Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Programs at the College of Engineering and the Associate Dean of the Natural Sciences at the College of Arts & Sciences. Engage in creative and strategic thinking about the course of identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship, and be able to develop such strategies and assist in their execution. Prepare, write and/or work with faculty and other staff to develop and present proposals to corporations.

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred with five to eight years of related experience. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, solid knowledge of corporate relations in natural sciences and engineering research and education, as well as the ability to work collaboratively across disciplinary and interdisciplinary lines, and to interact successfully with a diverse constituency of varying abilities, backgrounds, interests and beliefs. Must be willing and able to travel to meet with prospects and donors. Occasional weekends and evenings events and air travel is required.
