Working pattern: Part time

The Data to Knowledge (D2K) research group is seeking to appoint an early career qualitative researcher to join our transdisciplinary team. The postholder will contribute to two projects within D2K: the completion of an interview study about data access within the METADAC project, and an ongoing participant engagement exercise using the ECOUTER method with the ALSPAC cohort study. The postholder’s role will be to conduct a series of interviews, code and analyse the data, and assist with the preparation of publications, and to facilitate the ECOUTER process in the ALSPAC clinic.

We are looking for a motivated applicant with a keen and demonstrable interest in the social sciences and ethical aspects of participant engagement and data access in cohort studies. Knowledge and experience of participant engagement in health research, and qualitative research methods and data analysis is essential, as is experience of working with cohort studies and biobanks.
