Assistant Admissions Officer

1 x full time, permanent vacancy
1 x full time, fixed term maternity cover for up to 12 months
Based central Reading, Berkshire
Salary £20,000 pa

University College of Estate Management (UCEM) is the leading international provider of supported online learning for the Built Environment, with over 90 years’ experience in providing the highest quality learning opportunities for the industry.  UCEM offers a range of property-related academic programmes, as well as providing professional development and tailor-made corporate training courses.  We recently made an exciting move to new premises in the centre of Reading, which will help support the continued growth of our business.

Admissions is a very busy, friendly and hardworking team at UCEM, with their level of work intensifying leading up to the semester start dates for our academic programmes.  In the main you will:

• Provide an excellent level of customer service to our students, especially as contact with this team is the first experience students have with UCEM.
• Assist with the admissions process for all of our academic programmes.
• Make sure there is full adherence to Quality Assurance Agency requirements and the requirements of validating bodies, at all times and in all stages of your work.
• Assist with all administration related to applicants, including working closely with Programme Leaders to make sure that student recruitment targets are met.

You will bring to us strong administration and communication skills with a commitment to customer service towards students.  You should be passionate about process and procedures, be organised, and accurate with attention to detail.  IT skills are a must and we desire database skills or experience in a similar role/sector.
