Salary: £17,399 to £20,624 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.
We are looking for two enthusiastic administrators to join our professional team, working in a dynamic, stimulating and constantly evolving environment, right at the heart of the organisation, providing comprehensive and confidential support service to members of The University of Nottingham’s Executive Board (including Pro-Vice-Chancellors and Senior Leaders of Professional Services). The Administrator (Reception) will be responsible for providing a professional, customer-focussed frontline service to the Executive Office, acting as first point of contact for visitors and incoming telephone calls. You will also support the day-to-day running of the office and assist with the effective management of diary and travel arrangements and the collation of briefings and papers for meetings.

These roles are varied and challenging, providing an opportunity for the successful candidates to be responsible for, amongst other things, arranging routine appointments, meetings and telephone conversations, booking venues and organising travel arrangements. As part of a team you will work with other team members to ensure flexibility of delivery of team responsibilities is achieved.
To be considered for these posts, previous experience of working in administration and in a customer service environment is required. Being able to manage a diverse workload and switch between tasks and concepts quickly and easily is essential. In addition, candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion at all times, and enjoy working flexibly as part of a team.
Candidates should be educated to A level standard with GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications), with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and use of business systems for progressing work and have relevant work experience.
A comprehensive review of support for Executive Board members has identified the requirement for additional support. The Executive Office provides full-service support to members of University Executive Board. These are full-time, permanent posts and the successful candidates will be required to work 36.25 hours per week. A flexible approach to working is required in order to provide cover during office hours.
