The Faculty has over 5000 students and is built on the strength and reputation of three schools: the School of Law, the School of Humanities and Social Inquiry, and the School of the Arts, English and Media. The Faculty is proud of its research achievements and recognition. In 2015 excellence in Research Australia awarded the rating of ‘4 Above World Standard’ for Law, Cultural Studies, Philosophy, Literary Studies and History. In the last 2 years, the Faculty has been awarded over $6M in Australian Research Council (ARC) funding. Most recently, the Faculty was a part of the successful bid for an ARC Centre of Excellence of Australian Biodiversity and Heritage, attracting $33M in funding.
This position reports directly to the Vice-Chancellor with the ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the strategic leadership, operation and management of the Faculty; including continually developing the Faculty governance and school structure to deliver on the University’s goals.
