Ranked in the top 2 percent of universities worldwide and 31st among universities under 50 years, CDU invites expressions of interest for the position of Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous Leadership.

To deliver against CDU’s goal of leadership in Indigenous education, the Pro Vice-Chancellor,
Indigenous Leadership will develop innovative programs to improve Indigenous participation,
creating and maintaining culturally-enriched and culturally-safe environments for Indigenous students, learning in partnership with Indigenous students, staff and community, and increasing Indigenous staffing opportunities and participation in governance across the University.

With a recognised academic standing, a reputation for innovative academic leadership, and a record of achievements through influencing rather than control, candidates should demonstrate the capacity to develop effective relationships within and between Indigenous bodies and broader Australian society, and offer an understanding of contemporary best practice for supporting Indigenous students and for achieving Indigenous cultural competence. A PhD, or willingness to complete one, is also sought.
