Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Psychology

£33,943 to £38,183 per annum– Lecturer
£39,324 to £46,924 per annum- Senior Lecturer

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Psychology to join the expanding team of academic staff in the Psychology Department.  This is an exciting time to be joining the Department as we build on our successful student recruitment and growing research presence.

The Psychology Department currently offers an established portfolio of British Psychological Society accredited undergraduate programmes and an MSc in Forensic Psychology. We have research strengths in the area of Forensic Psychology, Cognition, Health and Well-Being, Social Psychology, Developmental Psychology and Media Psychology. We also have a number of PhD students engaged in these areas.

The post holder will participate fully in the Psychology Department’s range of teaching, research and knowledge exchange activities.  Applicants from all areas of Psychology are welcome to apply, but we have a particular need for expertise in biological psychology (for example biological bases of human and non-human animal behaviour, hormones and behaviour, behavioural genetics, typical and atypical neuropsychology, comparative and evolutionary psychology).
