Salary: £20,046 - £22,494

Applications are invited for the post of IEU Metabolomics Technician, within the MRC funded Integrative Epidemiology Unit (IEU) at the School of Social and Community Medicine. The post holder will provide laboratory support to the Metabolomics NMR facility, based within the School of Chemistry.
 
The successful applicant will support the day-to-day running of the facility across all areas of sample handling and preparation, taking responsibility to ensure that samples are prepared to a high and consistent standard. You will be expected to maintain a high-throughput working environment to ensure that analysis deadlines are met, and will be involved in planning work schedules and timelines. Duties will also include assisting with NMR spectrometer operation and general maintenance of laboratory space and equipment, including liquid handling robotics, to ensure that the facility is kept fully operational.
