The School of Psychology is one of the most prestigious schools of psychology in Australia, and its strong reputation is built on excellence in both research and teaching. The successful applicant will be expected to coordinate and teach undergraduate courses in the areas of health, communication and/or social psychology; to supervise research, and to develop an independent program of externally funded research. Administrative service within the School is also required.
Applicants should possess a PhD in a relevant area of psychology, have a competitive research track record, experience and ability in teaching undergraduate programs in relevant areas of psychology, and capacity to supervise honours and postgraduate students.
To be appointed at level C, the successful candidate will have an established record of publications in high quality outlets, be expected to achieve national recognition in this area, and undertake a chief investigator role in applications for external research funds.
This is a full-time, fixed term appointment for 18 months at Academic level B or C, with the possibility of extension.
The remuneration package will be in the range of:
Academic Level B – $89,458 - $106,232 p.a. plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 9.5% (total package $97,957 - $116,324 p.a.)
Academic Level C – $109,586 - $126,360 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 9.5% (total package will be in the range of $119,997 - $138,364 p.a.)
