Human Resources – Employment Relations Adviser

Location:  Kings Meadow Campus
Salary:  £22,494 to £26,829 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to develop your HR career as a member of the Employment Relations Team providing professional, specialist advice on a range of employment matters. 

The priority for this post is to support the management of a range of employment relations cases, primarily absence, but also performance, disciplinary and grievances.  This will include attending investigation meetings and hearings, writing reports and notes, advising mangers on employment law, procedures, best practice and providing general employment relations advice to managers and employees. 

You will be involved in a wide variety of cases which will require you to quickly understand the nature of the different business areas of the University.  You will need to be confident in your understanding of employment law and advising on the implications of decisions and able to support managers with business-focused, timely and effective solutions.
You will have either a degree or equivalent or have substantial relevant experience and be at least part-CIPD qualified, you will be an excellent communicator and numerate with good IT skills.
