Situated in the heart of the vibrant, historic city of York, York St John University has a long and proud tradition as a distinguished education provider, with 2016 marking our 175thanniversary.  Our success is founded on the quality of academic teaching and research, our thriving campus environment, our professional and pastoral support, and our values of an inclusive, innovative and ambitious community with a strong sense of belonging.

In September, we brought together a number of colleagues from academic offices and Registry services to form one central team to support our newly created academic School structure.   We are now seeking an experienced manager with proven senior leadership experience who will continue to develop the Registry function, strengthen collaborative working and improve quality of service to help the University achieve its vision to operate as a single team with a common purpose.

As an inspirational and motivational leader with commitment to the University’s mission, vision and values, you will have excellent professional standing and a proven track record in a higher education setting.   With a robust approach to academic standards, detailed knowledge of the external environment and the frameworks governing quality assessment and academic governance, you will also have the ability to build strong relationships and effective partnerships.

With a new Vice Chancellor and new structure, we have serious ambitions to develop, diversify and increase the University’s reach.  If you can rise to the challenge, help shape our future and realise our ambition then further information and details of how to apply can be found at www.yorksj.ac.uk/vacancies

To discuss the opportunity, please contact the Deputy Vice Chancellor’s Office via email at m.towell@yorksj.ac.uk or telephone 01904 876913

Please note that CVs are not accepted in place of the application form.
