The University of Adelaide has an exciting opportunity for a Chief Information Officer to join our institution.
The CIO will take the University to the next level of excellence in its IT environment and service provision. You will have a deep understanding of trends in the IT industry and how they can best be harnessed for the benefit of the University, the CIO will be prepared to take measured risks in leading the University's response to digital disruption in education delivery, and ensuring its own IT operating model is contemporary and agile.
The CIO will lead the University's 250 person strong Technology Branch, set the University's IT strategy, and utilise an annual budget of $60M to enrich the working and educational lives of its staff and student stakeholders.
To be considered for this exceptional role you will have a proven track record in managing large IT functions and delivering significant strategic plans. You will also have a high degree of business acumen and the ability to transform and enhance the effectiveness of the technology team and be an advocate for technology transformation across the university. You will be collaborative, understand how to lead in environments informed by principles of collegiality and professional autonomy, and, most of all, will be capable of communicating a compelling vision for the future.
