The Education Portfolio is headed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Vice President who leads the planning and implementation of the University's strategies related to RMIT's academic programs and the RMIT student experience. The Portfolio is responsible for services to support the quality of RMIT programs, including the professional development of academic staff, continuous improvement of the student experience, learning and teaching outcomes and the management of learning and research information sources.
The Role and Your Responsibilities
The Associate Director, Learning Analytics will lead RMIT in relation to research and analytics to shape student profiles, curriculum design and program architectures. Learning analytics is a core service in ensuring that RMIT's focus is placed on the evidence of program and course quality as experienced by students, employers and the wider community. Innovation, quality, accessibility and sustainability underpin the context for evidence-based evaluation and analysis. This role is responsible for providing leadership in analytics in relation to the development of an education environment that aligns entirely with RMIT's strategy.
Skills & Experience Required
Key to your success in this role will be your ability to drive RMIT Studios' agenda in evidence-based curriculum enquiry, program and course development and provide leadership in learning analytics in relation to the development of an education environment that aligns entirely with the University's Strategic Plan. As the Assistant Director, you will direct, inspire and engage the team to deliver high quality, innovative and effective services for building capacity in the understanding and use of learning analytics in improving student learning, experiences and program and course quality and development. You will have demonstrated experience in providing sound strategic advice, including the preparation of reports, briefing papers and similar to executive and senior management. Furthermore, you will have experience in leading and managing educational change processes while managing the technical and business analysis and design processes.
