Salary package: $68,307 - $86,646 per annum plus 17% Superannuation

The Fenner School of Environment and Society is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to contribute to an ARC Laureate Fellowship research program entitled "Surrogate ecology: When and where can it work to improve environmental management?". Research will be conducted under the direction of ARC Laureate Fellow Professor David Lindenmayer. The Postdoctoral Fellow will be appointed to work on one of two major themes identified as a part of the research program: empirical testing, and development of new theory.
The successful applicant will collaborate with other ecologists appointed to the Laureate project to produce general principles and frameworks for the application of surrogates. They will also collaborate with the Conservation and Landscape Ecology research group at the Fenner School of Environment and Society, which comprises over 30 academic staff, research officers and post-graduate students. Opportunities will be provided for personal career development by way of participation in field work, wildlife surveys, and other field-based ecological and conservation research.
The ANU College of Medicine, Biology and Environment (CMBE) brings together medical, biological, population health, psychological and environmental sciences in six schools: The ANU Medical School, The Fenner School of Environment and Society, The John Curtin School of Medical Research, the Research School of Biology, the Research School of Population Health, and the Research School of Psychology. Together the schools integrate high level research with a research-led curriculum that encompasses all of these different areas.
