The College of Science, Health and Engineering comprises 9 Schools and 16 Departments across La Trobe's multi-campus operations. About the role
Based at the Albury/Wodonga Campus, you will work closely with the Murray-Darling Freshwater Research Centre (MDFRC) to conduct scientific research and supervise Honours and postgraduate students. MDFRC research focuses on the conservation and sustainable management of river, floodplain and wetland ecosystems and their biota, with particular strengths in plant and animal ecology and ecosystem science. You will also be expected to teach subjects across a range of subjects within the field of Biological Sciences.
Skills and Experience
- Completion of a PhD in a relevant discipline.
- Strong record of research publications with evidence of quality and impact.
- Success in obtaining research funding from grants/contracts/consultancies.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to teach undergraduates across a broad range of disciplines within Biological Sciences.
- Ability to supervise undergraduate, honours and postgraduate students.
