Assistant Director, Student Affairs, Thurman Center Network
Develop and enforce a series of benchmarks used to create satellite Thurman Centers across the Charles River and Medical campuses. Collaborate on programs with faculty and staff across the university to spread a common ground ethos and ensure the mission of the Howard Thurman Center is faithfully communicated by individual schools and colleges through programs and events that are also unique to each colleges academic focus. Responsibilities also include: create and train a conversation corps composed of undergraduate students who will give leadership to important conversations regarding culture, difference and controversial topics; facilitate programs and workshops on activism, leadership and ethics based on Howard Thurmans philosophy and scholarship; work with the Associate Director as required to communicate the common ground message to any constituency.
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred. Three to five years of experience required.
