The Strategy & Innovation Department at the Boston University Questrom School of Business invites applications for one tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level (untenured). This position will begin on July 1, 2017 for the Fall semester at Boston University.
The S&I Department places particular emphasis on the study of innovation in different kinds of organizations and the role of technological change in creating new industries and shaping existing ones. The department’s faculty are an interdisciplinary group of researchers with primary backgrounds in strategy, economics, sociology and organizational theory. Prospective candidates must demonstrate the ability to produce original and innovative scholarly work of the highest possible quality and impact.
Special consideration will be given to applicants whose research focuses on core strategy topics, particularly in strategic areas singled out by the Questrom School of Business (health and life sciences, digital technologies and sustainability); who have a proven record or high potential for scholarly research; and have the ability to teach topics in Strategic Management, Innovation, and/or Entrepreneurship at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
A PhD degree in business, management or other closely-related areas from a research university is required. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
