The School of Education at University College Dublin seeks to make a senior appointment in the field of Leadership in Education.   The successful candidate will be offered either a Lecturer/Assistant Professor OR Associate Professor* appointment and be expected to contribute significantly to the development of their field in both research and teaching, including expanding and deepening our leadership in education and/or associated offerings across our professional, post graduate and doctoral programmes.  Successful candidates will be expected to apply their expertise across all sectors of education from early years through to secondary/higher education.

The successful candidate (s) will be offered a permanent academic appointment and be eligible for Tenure.  Note: Lecturer(s) in UCD must have successfully completed a (1 year) probation and (up to 3 years) induction period to be eligible to apply for the award of tenure.

* Note:  For appointment at Associate Professor level, the appointee must satisfy UCD’s Benchmarks for promotion / appointment to this grade.

Lecturer/Assistant Professor (above the bar) Salary Scale: €50,807 - €76,936 per annum (or)

Associate Professor Salary Scale: €65,000 - €88,504 per annum

Appointment on the appropriate scale will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
