The School of Media and Communication is recruiting a Senior Lecturer who will make a significant contribution to teaching, research and program development particularly within the Games program. The Senior Lecturer will work as part of the Games discipline in the development and delivery of innovative and flexible teaching programs at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as making a significant contribution to research, consulting activities and administrative functions. The Senior Lecturer is expected to actively promote the program by establishing and maintaining memberships, links and partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities.

The role

As Senior Lecturer, you will be experienced in the provision of innovative and effective leadership in a tertiary education setting and will demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and develop innovative Games curriculum and educational programs. You will play a leadership role in the development of a learning and teaching culture of practice and high quality research within the School. The appointee will be expected to take on the leadership role of Program Manager for a fixed period.

Your responsibilities and experience required

The successful applicant should be skilled as a teacher, and knowledgeable about Games Design courses. Applicants with expertise in research, teaching and studio practice in one or more of the following practice areas: games design and contemporary issues in independent games design practice are encouraged to apply.

Candidates must have a doctorate or PhD within a field related to Games.
