The Information Technology Directorate (ITD) provides high quality information and communications services and technologies to underpin the mission and aspirations of the University. This is achieved by understanding our customers? needs, by demonstrating ICT leadership, and by producing cost-effective and innovative outcomes. The ITD Directorate is currently seeking to fill the role of Data Management Architect.
About the role
The Data Management Architect is an integral role in defining how the University's data will be collected, stored, integrated and managed by the different university bodies and IT systems.
The Data Management Architect will collaborate closely with Senior Management and key business representatives in order to recommend and implement appropriate technical approaches for data management and integration solutions. This role will also be responsible for setting data architecture principles, and creating models of data that enable the
implementation of the intended university architecture showing key data entities.
This position will have an increased awareness within the university community in order to convey the potential benefits and opportunities provided through IT services.
Skills & Experience to include;
- Third Normal Form (3NF) practise
- data modelling - including Data Vault, Kimball and Dublin Core
- knowledge of frameworks such as ToGAF
