Job Description

The Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation at Boston University has an immediate opening for a full-time interviewer/ research coordinator position on a research project being conducted in conjunction with Riverside Community Care, Inc. The interviewer will work under the guidance of the Center to carry out all assessments for a study designed to evaluate the effectiveness of a program helping adults with psychiatric disabilities to overcome prejudice and discrimination and increase their participation in the community. Assessments will be conducted in the community at three different programs of Riverside Community Care, Inc. Primary responsibilities of the interviewer will include:

• coordinating with staff of the Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation the timelines of all assessments with
the research participants;
• contacting individuals to be interviewed;
• conducting baseline and follow-up interviews;
• insuring completeness and accuracy of the interview documents;
• participating in project team meetings.

Required Skills

MA degree in human services and interviewing experience with individuals who have serious psychiatric challenges. The ideal candidate would have skills to administer structured clinical assessments of psychiatric symptoms, excellent interpersonal skills, and organizational skills to manage different tasks efficiently. Must have a car and be willing to travel to different study locations. Cellphone for study use will be provided. The interviewer will receive training from the Center.
