The University of Exeter is seeking to appoint a Head of Teaching Quality Assurance and Enhancement (Head of TQAE). This important new role will be key to delivering the priorities of our education strategy to drive forward the enhancement and improvement of the student academic experience and ensure the quality of student outcomes that support the University’s goal of delivering an internationally excellent education that leads to graduates of distinction.

The successful candidate will have significant and proven experience of managing quality assurance and enhancement activity in a higher education context, and a track record of high quality service delivery together with the management of transformational change.

The Head of TQAE will play a central role in establishing and leading the University’s new Teaching Quality Assurance and Enhancement Unit (TQAEU). This will include aligning the Unit with the development of the Exeter Centre for Education and Research Synergy and Innovation (CERSI), a unique academic development with a strong focus upon continuous improvement and innovation in pedagogy.  The post holder will also play a vital role in the University’s work for the Teaching Excellence Framework, in particular ensuring our quality assurance activity aligns with the requirements of the TEF.
