The University of Glasgow has been at the forefront in inspiring people in Scotland and the world, and delivering world-leading teaching and learning, research, discovery and knowledge exchange since 1451. Over 25,000 students attend the University and we have 7,000 members of staff, and an annual research income of more than £181 million.

We are currently seeking a Research Operations Manager, an exciting new role within our College of Science and Engineering, which delivers a broad range of highly ground-breaking research that is interdisciplinary across all the Colleges of the University.

This is an innovative role within the Higher Education sector, and offers an ideal development opportunity for someone who may currently be working in a research, financial or systems management role, and who has experience of leading a small team and some previous involvement in delivering change.

The focus of this role is to lead and develop an effective and efficient research management service for the College, ensuring seamless support is delivered to all Principal Investigators with all aspects of pre- and post-award research management and in support of the College’s research strategy. To deliver this service, you will manage, coach and develop a small team of Project Coordinators and Research Administrators, establishing a cohesive and effective team unit.

You will also contribute to the development of the College Research Strategy in collaboration with the Head of Research Support, Dean of Research and the Research and Knowledge Transfer Committee.
