The University of Greenwich is seeking to appoint an experienced Workshop Manager to join the Faculty of Architecture, Computing and Humanities at its Stockwell Street building in the centre of Greenwich. This £76 million building houses academic facilities, design studios, TV studios and a 220 m² model workshop.

The role will require someone to work alongside academic colleagues to deliver and facilitate art and design related instruction and training to a diverse range of students and staff and have a proven track record of safely managing a modern workshop environment. The successful applicant will play a key role in building and developing a facility that will support traditional model making, joinery and fabrication techniques as well as digital methods such as 3d printing, laser cutting, CNC machines, etc.

The post holder is also expected to work with Faculty colleagues to provide expertise and advice regarding viability of projects, budget and resource considerations and be a positive contributor to the wider Faculty Support Team.
