Macquarie Law School is looking for a Professor on a continuing basis with a fixed 3-year term as Dean of Macquarie Law School. Reporting to the Executive Dean, Faculty of Arts and as a member of the Faculty Executive, the Dean of Law School role will lead and manage the Law School and its staff to realise their full potential and deliver excellence across the full portfolio of academic activity; identifying current and emerging issues and developing appropriate strategies and programs for research, teaching and community engagement.
A senior academic with a PhD in a relevant field or equivalent, the successful appointee will bring a strong research record and the ability to develop and implement strategies to improve research and learning and teaching performance. With experience in mentoring and managing academic and professional staff, this position will be able to identify and collaboratively deliver on outcomes in research, transformative learning and stakeholder engagement.
