The UQ Centre for Clinical Research
The UQ Centre for Clinical Research (UQCCR) is a $70 million dollar purpose-built facility sponsored by Atlantic Philanthropies, the Queensland Government (Smart State funding) and The University of Queensland. The building, completed in early 2008, is located at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital site, Herston, Brisbane. This site also houses the largest teaching hospital in Australia (RBWH), a basic medical research institute (QIMR), and a significant Faculty of Medicine presence, including the Schools of Public Health. The UQCCR has capacity for 320 staff with affiliation guided by research strengths, assessed by defined research quality indicators
The successful appointee will assist in developing, coordinating and conducting projects in clinical peripheral vascular disease (PVD) research with a particular focus on studies on abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA).
Applicants should possess a PhD in the area of medicine, pharmacology, nursing, nutrition or psychology. You should also have a strong desire to develop a successful and highly-productive research career in the area of clinical trials methodology and awareness of clinical trials regulations (ICH/GCP) International Conference on Harmonisation/Good Clinical Practice
This is a full-time, fixed term appointment, until March 2018 at Research Academic level A . The remuneration package will be in the range $62,653.88 - $84,985.56 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 9.5% (total package will be in the range $68,606.00 - $93,059.19 p.a.).
