The School of Environmental and Rural Science spans eight disciplines including: Agronomy & Soil Science, Animal Science, Botany, Genetics, Earth Sciences, Ecosystem Management, Environmental Engineering and Zoology. The School is also responsible for the management of Rural Properties and encompasses activities across the Faculty as well as the Beef, Sheep and Poultry CRC's and Animal Genetics Breeding Unit.

About the role

The Senior Technical Officer provides technical support for the School of Environmental and Rural Science. This requires considerable expertise across multiple discipline areas.

Skills & Experience

To be considered for this role you will have experience in managing scientific laboratories as well as demonstrated expertise in the use and maintenance of a range of research laboratory equipment and techniques. High level interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information, procedures and regulations to colleagues and students, is essential for this role.
