Queensland Genomics Health Alliance
In September 2015, the Queensland State Government announced a $25m five-year commitment to research aimed at integrating genomics into everyday healthcare.
Potentially positioning Queensland as a world-leader in the translation of genomics research into healthcare practice, the Queensland Genomics Health Alliance (QGHA) will encourage collaboration within and between the state's health system and research and academic communities to discover how genomics can improve health outcomes for Queenslanders.
With a charter to be patient-centred and clinically-led, The University of Queensland has been chosen to lead the QGHA, working collaboratively with all universities in the State, key Queensland-based research organisations, the Queensland Hospital and Health Services network, private health providers and associated health organisation throughout the State.
The successful appointee will provide secretarial and administrative support to the Executive Director and other members of the QGHA core support team. The EA will co-ordinate and manage the daily functions of the QGHA office, including diary management for the Executive Director and other managers as required.The EA will assist with the implementation of information, communication and document management systems and then be responsible for the maintenance in support of the Alliance more generally.
Applicants should possess relevant qualifications and administrative and secretarial experience at an executive level. You should also have well developed written communication skills and high level interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise effectively with, and provide high quality client service to, a diverse range of people in a professional manner.
This appointment is full-time, fixed-term for 4 years at HEW Level 5. The remuneration package will be in the range $62,716 - $70,241 p.a, plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $73,378 - $82,182 p.a).
