About the position
The Career Development Centre is a vital link between students and our industry partners to manage internships and placements that offer quality practical experience and potential career contacts with leading Australian and international employers. The Industry Placement Specialist will be responsible for providing, developing and expanding relationships with local and regional employers, including the SME market to facilitate internship opportunities for postgraduate students specifically students within the Professional degrees in Construction, Property, Planning and Project Management.
The Industry Placement Specialist will also provide a significant amount of careers counseling and management of the various stages of a student’s progress through the Professional degrees. This appointment will travel locally, interstate and regionally to facilitate, negotiate and secure various internship opportunities.
About the person:
The successful candidate will possess a relevant degree coupled with experience in business development, stakeholder management and industry placements. You will be able to demonstrate relevant industry knowledge, and be able to form key relationships with employers within construction, property planning and project management.
You will be experienced in stakeholder management and with a proven ability working with a diverse range of cultural backgrounds. You will be a motivated, self-starter who can work independently to produce high quality internship opportunities.
Similar experience within a tertiary environment will be highly regarded

The commencing salary for this appointment is $72,739.45 + 9.5% superannuation pa.
