ABOUT THE ROLE
The Centre Officer will apply all relevant Security & Traffic Services systems and processes to ensure the smooth operation of the business unit. The role entails responsibility for the day to day operation of the administrative tasks required to meet agreed timelines and service level agreements for the Security & Traffic business unit. Some of the specific tasks assigned to this role include the data base management and modification of various computer based systems along with frontline enquiries. Applicants should have strong customer service and administrative skills, be able to plan work priorities and meet deadlines, and have effective communication skills.
- Processing access card and parking applications
- Dealing with frontline Security & Traffic enquiries
- Dispatching Security & Traffic staff to tasks
- Programming of/and data entry into access control and parking systems
- Managing alarms
- Undertaking emergency management communications tasks
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Ability to prioritise often competing tasks
- High level administration skills
- Excellent frontline customer service skills
- Able to work autonomously
- Able to meet deadlines
- Good understanding of Security & Traffic processes
- Formal qualification in security or traffic related field (Desirable)
- Experience in Security and/or Traffic Operations (Desirable)

BENEFITS AND REMUNERATION
This full-time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $61,613 – $65,829 plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
