Key leadership opportunity for an experienced Strategic Procurement Manager to enhance the procurement functions within Charles Darwin University.
The Office of Strategic Procurement is looking for an experienced Strategic Procurement Manager to provide supportive leadership and management direction to the Procurement Team, advice to the Senior Executive Group on operational procurement processes and to oversee the Purchasing Application of the University’s financial management system. Other activities include, managing strategic contracts, negotiating large supplier agreements with preferred suppliers, and develop strategic reform initiatives for procurement.
An effective communicator and people manager, with exposure to change management, your experience will demonstrate your ability to develop staff, build solid business relationships / networks with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure the best value for money solutions are achieved. Your contemporary knowledge of statutory requirements and best practice in relation to procurement will showcase your ability to streamline processes and develop new strategies, policies and procedures.
Ideally, you will hold post graduate qualification and/or extensive experience in a senior procurement role.
