International Recruitment Officer
Full Time (37 hours per week)
£26,052 to £28,452 per annum with further progression opportunities to £30,175
The Department of International Partnership and Development provides strategic and operational leadership of the University’s internationalisation agenda. Working closely with the Faculties and other Professional Services, the Department leads and supports:
- The development, implementation and monitoring of the internationalisation strategy
- International and European student recruitment
- International and European partnership to support teaching, community engagement, research and knowledge exchange
- Curriculum developments as they relate to the international market
- Staff capacity development to engage in international working
- The ambition to increase student mobility opportunities.
The Department is comprised of 27 members of staff and is based in the flagship building of Augustine House in the centre of Canterbury.
The post-holder will have joint responsibility for the recruitment of international students from designated regions / markets, working within the International Partnerships and Development team on the basis of primary / secondary leads on specific regions / markets. The International Recruitment Officers will develop knowledge and expertise in those designated markets, conduct research and develop / contribute to country-specific and wider International recruitment strategies.
The post-holder will support the Assistant Director of International Partnership & Development in developing and implementing operational plans to achieve recruitment aims in designated markets, generating the necessary contacts with key international stakeholders, and managing relationships with recruitment agents in those markets. This role will also contribute to the International Partnership agenda and work on specific partnership development projects. Internally, the post-holder will support and inform the international aspirations of CCCU faculties.
You will be first degree level qualified (or equivalent standard) with a number of years’ experience in international work. You must be able to demonstrate knowledge of the Higher Education Sector and excellent interpersonal skills.
Desirable requirements: International Student recruitment and Project development skills would also be advantageous.
