The Research School of Astronomy & Astrophysics (RSAA) in the ANU College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences seeks a Student Administration Officer to join the School's multi-functional administration team. The College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences covers all areas of scientific endeavour, from astrophysics to climate change, epidemiology to theoretical chemistry, scientists at ANU use their skills to contribute to advancing science for the future of the world, integrating high level research and educational excellence.
Position overview
This is a part-time position of 20 hours per week. The School will be happy to negotiate a flexible working arrangement with the suitably qualified candidate.
The Student Administration Officer will play a key role in the Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics (RSAA) by providing a unique blend of excellence in customer service, student and administrative support. As the first point of contact for RSAA internal and external stakeholders, your responsibility is to provide a comprehensive range of service to undergraduate, postgraduate and higher degree research students, academic staff members of the School and related Centre of Excellence, including interns for the Advanced Instrumentation Technology Centre (AITC). The officer supports the administration of student life cycle including admission, enrolment, graduation, management of scholarships and awards and prizes.
