About the role

In this role you will be expected to make independent or original contributions to the research effort within your field of expertise and is expected to play a major role in research including leadership in research. You will provide strategic support to the Director and lead and conduct research in areas related to student equity and diversity in higher education. You will help to attract external research funding, publish in high quality peer-reviewed papers, lead research project teams and contribute to the University's institutional research and analysis. You will play a significant role in research projects including the leadership of research teams or management of projects. You will also engage and build partnerships with industry and government on major research issues.

Skills & Experience

To be considered for this role you will possess a PhD or equivalent accreditation and standing with subsequent research experience. You will have a record of high level scholarly research including publications and reports in the areas of student equity or diversity in higher education. You will have experience in preparing research proposal submissions to external funding bodies with success. Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role. An understanding of the higher education environment is also required for this role. You will have the ability to lead, direct, motivate and manage a team and work with a wide range of stakeholders.
