Department of Finance
Salary: £34,548 - £37,415 inclusive of London Weighting Allowance
We are looking for a Department Accountant to join our Finance Department. Supported by a Finance Assistant, you will provide proactive financial support and advice to assigned University academic departments and will be responsible for all aspects of financial reporting to the department, as well as full involvement in the budget process.
You may be full or part qualified, will have comprehensive knowledge of and practical skills in all aspects of budgetary control, be able to prepare financial reports on a wide variety of activities, have previous experience of using financial accounting software, an ability to communicate financial matters, and a demonstrable understanding of the need for providing excellent customer service. The role involves regular meetings across the campus and you will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to explain financial matters and concepts to non specialists.
