Policy Director, Research and Innovation
Universities Australia is seeking to engage an experienced and enthusiastic person to join our tight-knit, dynamic organisation, and lead the research policy team.
The Policy Director, Research and Innovation is a senior member of the UA team, working to support Australian universities as they transform the future. The role requires high-level analytical skills, leadership qualities, policy development expertise and strong communication and advocacy skills.
This position will work closely with executive staff in universities, government and other sectors to contribute to and inform decisions that impact on Australia’s higher education system. Key responsibilities include: preparation and oversight of submissions, discussion and board papers, representing Universities Australia in a range of internal and external forums, direct engagement with senior parliamentarians, and management of the operation and strategic direction of relevant committees.
A competitive salary package is available for the successful candidate. This is a full-time, ongoing position based in Canberra.
