The University is seeking to further enhance its already strong academic strength in computer science and software engineering.

The successful candidate will be given a permanent position and be appointed at the Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level. They will be expected to contribute to teaching on our Network Engineering programme in the Bachelor of Engineering by teaching courses as appropriate and contributing to the development of the curriculum. The Lecturer / Senior Lecturer /Assoc Prof in Network Engineering should be able to teach any engineering or computer science course at the 100, 200 and 300 level and any 400 level course in their area of specialisation, and supervise student research. Preference will be given to candidates with the capability to teach at both graduate and undergraduate level in the areas of Networking and Distributed Systems, Security, Operating Systems and Computer Architecture.

The L/SL in Network Engineering is expected to have a PhD in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical/Information Engineering or a related area with a good track record of research publications. The preferred candidate will also have a record of attracting external funding and ability to work in collaboration with existing staff and/or local industry.
