The University of Auckland is New Zealand’s leading University. It employs over 5400 academic and professional staff to support over 41,000 students making us one of NZ's largest employers. An exciting opportunity has emerged for an Assessment Manager to join the team within Applications and Admissions, Academic Services.

Reporting to the Manager of Applications and Admissions, you will primarily be responsible for leading a team to deliver admission and assessment services to enable both domestic and international applicants and students to be admitted and enrolled at the University, in accordance with University regulations. The University receives in excess of 70,000 applications a year across domestic and international students and this number continues to grow.

Through this you will ensure you are maximising the conversion of applications in support of the University's enrolment targets, through the delivery of effective and efficient services. Additionally, you will also be responsible for external transfer credit services for the University and the fostering of key relationships in the delivery of these.

Success will be measured through your ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives and streamline processes, enabling a continuous improvement culture, while leading a high performing team capable of delivering outstanding customer service.

Ideally you will be tertiary qualified in a business related discipline and have proven experience in leading and managing teams within a high volume environment.

While preference will be given to candidates who have at least 5 years' professional experience working in tertiary administration, the role may also suit candidates who have experience working within compliance driven industries and large multifaceted, public sector or corporate related environments.

With highly developed written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to problem solve, you will be seen as a credible and influential Manager. The ability to develop effective relationships with discerning internal and external clients and stakeholders will be key to your success.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional, high-growth environment where you will be rewarded with working for one of Auckland's largest employers.

Applications close Sunday, 23 October 2016.
