The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering is the largest School in the Faculty of Engineering, with approximately 2,500 student enrolments, over 150 members of staff, and a total budget of over $32M per year.

The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering is seeking a Student Services Officer to provide high level of service to all current and prospective students.  Ensuring the administration of students is carried out accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner, with a focus on customer service. This position is a student facing role and the first point of contact for all enquiries.

  • $68k -  $77k  plus 9.5% Superannuation and annual leave loading

  • 12 month Fixed Term

Key duties

  • Provide advice and assistance to students and staff on policies and procedures relating to student administration

  • Provide program requirements advice and enrolment support for all continuing and commencing students

  • Administrative duties which includes but is not limited do, the distribution of mail, assisting with building maintenance issues, filing, the organisation of Student Surveys (MyExperience) as well as coordinating the updates of course profiles each semester

  • Respond to personal, telephone and email enquiries from prospective students, current students and the general public

About the successful applicant

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Appropriate degree with extensive relevant experience, or equivalent competency gained through any other combination of education, training or experience

  • Experience in a Student Services environment

  • Proficient word-processing, spreadsheet and database computing skills 

  • Experience in, and a proven commitment to customer service
