The Animal Hospital at Murdoch University is the teaching hospital of the School of Veterinary and Life Sciences. We aim to provide a responsive and complete, referral service to Western Australian veterinarians, their clients and their patients. 

The Role

This is a shift work position, totalling 66 hours per fortnight and rotates through a combination of weekdays, weekends and public holidays in the Emergency and Critical Care department. Example of current shift times includes days (0730-1630), afternoons (1600-0100) and nightshifts (2230-0830). There is the option to work extra shifts where applicable. The successful candidate will be working in a busy and supportive clinical teaching environment with exposure to specialist clinicians and nursing staff with advanced skills in emergency and critical care.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing qualification (or equivalent) as a minimum;
  • Registration in Western Australia with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of WA;
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a veterinary practice post qualification;
