As part of our plan to increase the participation of women in our STEM academic workforce, Swinburne is now offering Research Fellowships through our Vice Chancellor’s Research Fellowship scheme - “Women in STEM”.
About the role
Five prestigious Vice Chancellor's Research Fellowships will be awarded for three years at academic Level B or C with $20K additional funding support for each appointed female Research Fellow. Positions will transition into continuing standard academic teaching and research positions at end of the fellowship. The successful incumbents will also be provided with dedicated mentorship by leading researchers.

- : Big Data, Machine Learning, Cyber Security
- : Smart Infrastruture, Sustainable Cities, Biomedical, Automation and Robotics
- : Mathematical Physics, Computational Mathematics, Data Science
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will have:
- doctoral qualification in either physics, chemistry, material science, computer science, information technology, electrical or mechanical engineering, applied mathematics or relevant fields
- demonstrated research excellence, with the ability to take on a leadership role in developing and securing research grants
- high standard of interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment
