The Manager will be responsible for the leadership of a portfolio of programs within the department and is responsible for building the profile and reputation of Foundation and Pathways, both internally and externally. The successful incumbent will provide vision, leadership and operational management of the team to ensure the delivery of high quality programs and innovative learning and assessment practices to meet the needs of student cohorts while ensuring programs are developed and delivered in accordance with Swinburne’s quality standards.

Skills and experience required

To be successful in this role, you must have a demonstrated track record in motivating, leading and managing high performing and multi-disciplinary teams. Previous experience with working in public sector and complex environments will be highly regarded. You must also demonstrate the following:

  • AQF5 level (or above) Qualification in Education
  • Relevant tertiary degree or management qualification or equivalent experience and currency
  • A sound knowledge, and demonstrated significant experience and understanding of the educational area and training sector disciplines and the requirements of relevant industries or partners
  • An ability to implement high quality teaching and learning courses in a variety of learning modes which respond to a diverse range of student and client needs
